Uguale od Opposto è una Disciplina di abilità che rispecchia gli equilibri in movimento della natura, si fonda su alcuni princìpi della Scherma, della Giocoleria e della Morra Cinese pur mantenendo caratteristiche differenti a queste tre Arti. Della Scherma vi troviamo il passeggio ed i colpi d’attacco, della Giocoleria i lanci e le prese del bastone, mentre, patrimonio della Morra Cinese è la non fissazione di un colore. Un’innovazione di questo gioco infatti, è che non vi è un colore in cui un contendente si possa identificare, ma solo un momento.

I due Praticanti, muniti del Bacchio (un bastone gommato colorato alle sommità opposte di bianco e rosso) devono lanciare e riafferrare la propria arma e toccare quella, o il corpo dell’avversario, quando l’estremità risulta a loro propizia.
Che sarà per uno (il Guerriero denominato Uguale):
- quando le sommità saranno identiche
(bianco/bianco o rosso/rosso)
e per l’altro (il Guerriero denominato Opposto):
- quando le estremità saranno opposte
(rosso/bianco o bianco/rosso).

Ecco una frase che esprime appieno il concetto racchiuso in questa Disciplina:

This is a NEW SPORTING DISCIPLINE consisting in challenges between two players or between two teams in order to reach the score of ten points.

EQUIPMENT
The tool used to practise Equal or Opposite is a one metre long stick named "Bacchio" composed by a wooden inner part covered by soft plastic and coloured of red on a tip and white on the other. There is another coloured zone in the middle part of the stick coloured by the same colours.

THE BEGINNING OF THE MATCH
To begin a fight, in the one against one modality, it is necessary that there is the will and the declaration by one of the players to challenge another one. This declaration happens when the opponents are greeting to each other by holding the stick in its middle zone. At that time, who has been challenged has the right to choose first who he wants to be: Equal or Opposite. After that, both of the players throw their own stick in air and the challenged says what he has chosen, while the other says the remaining option.

EQUAL
It means that you get one point when you touch your opponent on his stick or on his body while the sticks have the tips of the same colour, RED-RED/WHITE-WHITE. As well as this, if you are touched in this modality by your opponent the point is assigned to you anyway.

OPPOSITE
It means that you get one point when you touch your opponent on his stick or on his body when the sticks have the tips of different colours, RED-WHITE/WHITE-RED. In addition, if you are touched in this moment by your opponent the point is assigned to you anyway.


BASIC RULE
The tip that establishes the colour of the stick, and so the colour characterizing the player in that precise moment, is the farthest tip from the hand holding the stick.


During the fight every player can change the tip of his stick by means of an endless number of rotations and feints so as to have the right tip at the right moment to launch an attack.


FAULTS
There are some faults that allow the other player to get one point:

if the stick falls down on the ground;
if the stick falls down on the ground due to a shot of the other player;
if the stick touches anything connected to the ground;
if the player passes from hand to hand the stick by half rotation;
if the player holds the stick by both hands at the same time;
if the player holds the stick within the coloured middle zone;
if the player grabs the stick with another part of the body besides the hand at the same time;
if the player grabs the other player's stick.

- Bacchione


It is not a violent sport.

There are neither limits of field nor of time. You can do a challenge wherever you want.
